Autumn Cardigan FREE Pattern.

The elongated crocheted cardigan of the classic straight silhouette will quickly become an indispensable part of your wardrobe. The cardigan is crocheted with a double thread of wool and a mixture of mohair and silk.

Yarn: Timona yarn (60% natural wool, 40% polyacryl, Weight/Yardage 60g/131yds) - 650 (700) 750 g brick; Carlton yarn (75% mohair, 25% silk, Weight/Yardage 25g/246yds) - 175 (200) 200 g of orange; hook H/7; 7 7/8 inch buttons of orange color.

Sizes: 8/10 (14/16) 18/20

Notions: Scissors, needle with large eye, 7 7/8 inch buttons of orange color.

Crochet hook: H/8 (5 mm)

Crochet abbreviations: ch = chain, sc = single crochet, ss = slip stitch, st(s) = chain stitch(s), dc = double crochet, FP dc = front post double crochet, BP dc = back post double crochet.

Attention: crochet only with 2 ply yarn from the yarn of Timona and Carlton.

GAUGE: 17 stitches worked in pattern for 6.5 rows. = 4″ square

Back.

Row 1: Chain 90 (98) 106. Turn your work. Sc each stitch. Turn.

Row 2: Chain 3, * 3 dc in the 4th st, ch 1, 3 dc in the same st, 1 dc in the 4th st * repeat till the end of the row. Turn.

Row 3: Chain 3, * 3 dc in the chain space, ch 1, 3 dc in the same ch sp, 1 FP dc in the 4th st * repeat till the end of the row. Turn.

Row 4: Chain 3, * 3 dc in the chain space, ch 1, 3 dc in the same ch sp, 1 BP dc in the 4th st * repeat till the end of the row. Turn.

Row 5-44: Repeat from 3rd to 4th rows, ending on a 4th row. Use the chart below.

Row 45: Skip the 12 (8) 12 stitches for the shoulder bevel on both sides. Turn.

Row 46 : Skip the 8 (8) 12 stitches for the shoulder bevel on both sides and skip for the neckline averages 40 stitches and finish both sides separately. Break yarn and fasten off.

Left front.

Row 1: Chain 42 (46) 50. Turn your work.

Row 2: Chain 3, * 3 dc in the 4th st, ch 1, 3 dc in the same st, 1 dc in the 4th st * repeat till the end of the row. Turn.

Row 3: Chain 3, * 3 dc in the chain space, ch 1, 3 dc in the same ch sp, 1 FP dc in the 4th st * repeat till the end of the row.

Row 4: Chain 3, * 3 dc in the chain space, ch 1, 3 dc in the same ch sp, 1 BP dc in the 4th st * repeat till the end of the row. Turn.

Row 5-40: Repeat from 3rd to 4th rows, ending on a 4th row. Turn.

Row 41: Skip the 8 stitches for the neckline on the left side. Turn.

Row 42: Skip another the 8 stitches for the neckline. Turn.

Row 43-44: Repeat from 3rd to 4th rows. Turn.

Row 45: Skip the 12 (8) 12 stitches for the shoulder bevel on the right side.Turn.

Row 46 : Skip the 8 (8) 12 stitches for the shoulder bevel on the right side. Break yarn and fasten off.

Row 5-15: Repeat from 3rd to 4th rows, ending on a 3rd row.

Row 16: Add 1 dc for the bevel of the sleeve on both sides in next 8 rows: 1 dc * 3 dc in the chain space, ch 1, 3 dc in the same ch sp, 1 FP dc in the 4th st * repeat till the end of the row, 1 dc. Turn.

Row 17: Chain 3, 2 dc * 3 dc in the chain space, ch 1, 3 dc in the same ch sp, 1 FP dc in the 4th st * repeat till the end of the row, 2 dc. Turn.

Row 18: Chain 3, 3dc * 3 dc in the chain space, ch 1, 3 dc in the same ch sp, 1 FP dc in the 4th st * repeat till the end of the row, 3 dc. Turn.

Row 19: Chain 3, 4dc * 3 dc in the chain space, ch 1, 3 dc in the same ch sp, 1 FP dc in the 4th st * repeat till the end of the row,4 dc. Turn.

Row 20: Chain 3, 5 dc * 3 dc in the chain space, ch 1, 3 dc in the same ch sp, 1 FP dc in the 4th st * repeat till the end of the row, 5 dc.

Row 21: Chain 3, 6 dc * 3 dc in the chain space, ch 1, 3 dc in the same ch sp, 1 FP dc in the 4th st * repeat till the end of the row, 6 dc. Turn.

Row 25-28: Repeat from 3rd to 4th rows, ending on a 4th row.

Row 29: Skip the 8 stitches on both sides.

Skip the 8 stitches on both sides in each next row till the end. Break yarn and fasten off.

Assembly:

Arrange the front, back and sleeves, and, with yarn needle, stitch the top of shoulder, arm holes, side seams and sleeves together on the wrong side.

Finishing

Attach yarn. Ch 1. Sc evenly around the entire cardigan, with 3 sc in each corner. Sl st to first sc. DO NOT TURN.

Ch 1. Sc around. Make 7 holes for the buttons (make 1 chain instead of 1 sc). The first hole for the button is 1.5 cm below the neck, the remaining holes are spaced 8 cm apart. [Buttonhole made]. Attach buttons to correspond with the buttonholes.
